"And Then Came The Rain" Short film production and BTS

For Cross Media we are making a short film about a father and a son surviving in a post apocalyptic world set in New Zealand where climate change and rising sea levels have caused the population to dwindle.

On the first day we started on location at 6:30 am and initially had some troubles setting up our rain machine due to the pump failing and our location being so remote with limited water pressure. We managed to get it working with some kiwi ingenuity. and started shooting at 12:00 we then continued to shoot for 6 more hours before heading off set and home for another early start the next day.

We continued to film for the rest of the weekend and it went a lot smoother than the first day. we were working with a child actor on on of the days winch was a new challenge and ex[experience for me.

After 3 long days shooting we got all the footage we needed and are now in the post production stage.
